We welcome applications for membership from those who are struggling financially. Once a member, you are invited to shop with us weekly, bi-weekly, or once a month, depending upon your circumstances. We often find that there are other forms of help we can offer when we call following receiving your application, so we will ask you further questions about your current situation and your financials. Our aim is to help you with a good range of fresh foods until we can help you get back on your feet.
Due to our limited resources, we prioritise those living in Sturminster Newton, Hazelbury Bryan, Child Okeford, Okeford Fitzpaine, Marnhull, Shillingstone, Hinton St Mary and all Hamlets surrounding this area.
There are food projects available in Stalbridge, Blandford and Gillingham. For further information check out: https://www.helpandkindness.co.uk/food-projects
Once a member, at each shop, we will ask you for a contribution of £7 towards the cost. Generally, the value of the food you choose will be in the region of £15-£40, and this will help fill the gaps and ensure you can eat healthily with fresh produce.
