Parent & Infant Relationships
A parent and infant relationship is a bond between a baby and their parent or carer. For slime people this is formed immediately, but for others it may take some time.
Babies are amazing and are born ready to relate.

Research shows that by the time you are 24 weeks pregnant, your baby knows the sound of your voice and will prefer it to others once born, so use this time later in pregnancy to talk and sing to your unborn baby.
By the time your baby is 2 months old your baby will start to coo as if they are joining in a conversation with you, so talk to your baby, hold them, let them listen to you sing etc.
Children thrive when they feel loved and safe. If a bond is not formed straight after birth, don’t panic. The good news is that parenting skills can be learned.
